Dr. Zachary Lamkin, a native of Louisville Arkansas, is a Podiatric Medicine reconstructive foot specialist with a reputation for excellence in the field. A physician with extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex disorders of the foot and ankle, Dr. Lamkin has dedicated his professional life to providing unparalleled patient care and is excited to bring the latest advances in podiatric medicine to treat the residents of southeast Louisiana.
A graduate of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas, Dr. Lamkin earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Upon graduation, he completed his residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie. His unique residency experience featured instruction and guidance under both orthopedic and podiatric surgeons and specialized in reconstructive surgical techniques of the forefoot, midfoot, rearfoot and ankle. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board Eligible in Podiatric Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Lamkin’s professional interests are varied. Clinical pursuits include treatment of foot and ankle trauma, biomechanical evaluation and treatment of lower limb pathology, comprehensive diabetic foot care, plantar fasciitis, wound care and other various disorders of the feet. His approach focuses on both treatment and prevention to maintain and/or restore full functionality.
Dr. Lamkin is trained in the most advanced technologies and treatments for acute and chronic foot conditions and the latest techniques in regenerative medicine. Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to develop treatment plans designed specifically for each patient, Dr. Lamkin breaks the mold of the traditional physician with his down-to-earth personality and talent for explaining complex medical conditions in everyday terms. He serves patients throughout southeast Louisiana from offices in Metairie, Mandeville, and Lacombe.
